Agility Classes
Beginners Dogs should have had basic obedience training, be able to do a sit / stay for one minute, and be able to focus in a class setting. This class focuses on developing foundation skills for competitive agility. Emphasis is on creative and accurate individual obstacle performance.
Beginners (Advanced)
Students will continue to work on their foundation skills and doing short-run course sequences. Handlers will develop the proper skills for the contact equipment and weave pole skills. Dogs need to be able to be controlled by handlers off-leash at times.
Intermediate
This class is open to dogs and handlers preparing to compete at the novice level of agility. Dogs must know all of the obstacles. Exercises focus on longer sequences, handling techniques and fine tuning the dog's obstacle performance.
Advanced
Focus is on complex sequences. Learning & handling techniques; front/back crosses, time/coverage emphasis. |
